Join us for an intimate afternoon at Holman Ranch, designed for those who are intrigued by the story behind the bottle. "Meet the Maker: A Conversation in the Vineyard" offers a rare opportunity to experience our wines through the eyes of those who craft them. With only 15 seats, this exclusive gathering invites meaningful conversation and connection in our estate vineyard.

The experience begins in our estate wine cave, where guests will be welcomed by winemaker Greg Vita for a guided cave tour and a special barrel sample tasting, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse of wines still quietly evolving before they are bottled.

From there, guests will ride up to our 18-acre vineyard, where sweeping views of the Santa Lucia Mountains set the stage for four (4) wine tasting pours and a grazing table from Carmel Valley Creamery. Surrounded by the vines, Greg will lead a relaxed conversation about the estate, sharing insight into the grapes we grow, what’s happening in the vineyard during the growing season, and the philosophy behind crafting our wines. Sophie, owner of Carmel Valley Creamery, will also join us to introduce her artisan cheese selection and share the story behind her handcrafted cheeses.

At Holman Ranch, every bottle reflects a deep commitment to craftsmanship, from estate-grown fruit and careful vineyard stewardship to hand-harvesting and hands-on cellar work. This experience offers a rare opportunity to hear how those thoughtful decisions shape the wines in your glass.

Please note: This experience includes cheese and small bites for grazing rather than a full meal. Guests will spend approximately 90 minutes in the vineyard before being driven back down to the parking area to conclude the afternoon.
